Heveron & Company CPAs: Recognized as One of the Best Companies to Work for in New York

The New York State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, Best Companies Group and Rochester Business Journal have named Heveron & Company CPAs as one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York in the small companies category. Best Companies Group determined the rankings by evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices and demographics; combined with results of an employee survey that measured the employee experience.
In addition, Stephanie Annunziata, Partner at Heveron & Company is recognized on The Rochester Business Journal ’s list, 2023 Power 30 Accounting & Insurance. The list includes individuals who dedicate their time to helping members of the Rochester community navigate the ever-changing accounting and insurance needs of businesses in today’s environment.
Stephanie comments, “Our staff has most definitely been our biggest success over the past year. They are our greatest asset bar none. With constraints from the pandemic still in existence, staffing shortages, and increased regulations for our nonprofit clients, we have managed to maintain our professional and caring attitude while continuing to serve our clients. We could never be the firm we are, with the reputation we have, without our employees.
Our firm has grown so much over the nearly 30 years that I have been here. During that time we have doubled our size and created a niche in the nonprofit sector. I would love to continue that growth going forward by bringing on more individuals that share our mission of serving our clients with “care, competence and common sense” and that share our love for the Rochester area community and those that serve the community.
Accounting isn’t just about numbers and taxes. There is so much more to experience in this industry. For example, my firm has worked with nonprofit organizations for over 50 years. The joy that we get from helping these organizations comply with regulations is something I never thought I would get in the accounting industry. The fields that you can enter with an accounting degree are endless and very rewarding.”
