Global Accountancy Industry Endorses INPACT with 'Highly Commended' Association of the Year Award

At the 2014 International Accounting Bulletin Industry Forum & Awards hosted at Holborn Bars in London, INPACT was presented with the ‘Highly Commended’ award in the Association of the Year category.

Tendai White, INPACT International’s Executive Director, collected the award in front of over 100 industry leaders from the global accounting profession who had gathered to celebrate worldwide best practice in the accounting profession.

The Highly Commended award, an unprecedented accolade in any award category, was given to INPACT by a judging panel whose members were impressed by its “relationship based approach and regional activity focus”, and who wanted to recognised “growth in its culture as well as business growth.”

The judging panel consisted of Jane Howard, Head of Accounting & Actuarial Liability at Wragge & Co, Sue Almond, Head of External Affairs at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Ian Ball, Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), and Ana Gyorkos, the IAB’s editor.

Tendai White comments: “We are thrilled with the endorsement provided by our peers in the accountancy sector. Our award submission emphasised that success should not be measured by the number of dots on a world map, but rather by success in building a sustainable, stable alliance whose members derive real value from forming strong relationships with counterparts across the world. We have created strength from within over the last year by fostering a culture of participation. This is underpinned by a more visible brand and a more collaborative technology infrastructure.”

Stephen Jacobs, President of INPACT International, adds: “This award is for our members, and recognises their high levels of collaboration at the regional level where we have seen the formation of a number of special interest groups and joint ventures, the release of joint publications, participation in joint tenders, and attendance at a range of regional conferences. This culture and these initiatives are helping to retain our members and attract strong new accounting firms to the group.”
