INPACT’s Tendai White speaks at the Zimbabwe Accountant’s Conference

Among the speakers was INPACT EMEA’s Executive Director, Tendai White. Tendai co-chaired the main panel session ‘Gender Diversity in Leadership – Making the Breakthrough’, with the Chief Executive Officer of the Lesotho Institute of Accountants, Likhapha Mahase. The hour long session provided a discussion centering on key issues such as work-life balance, the gender pay gap and other key issues.

After the session, the conference organisers, PAAB, launched the Olivia Kirtley Tinokunda Scholarship fund. The fund aims to support 10 promising accountants, providing them with the necessary training and mentoring to help them to be future leaders. The fund seeks to attract both male and female students but would be capped at no more than 40% male recruits in any year.

The panel was invited to offer their services as mentors to the future scholars. Tendai was also asked to join the scholarship’s Board of Trustees.

Tendai has been invited to speak at ACAZ Conference 2017 as well as the African Congress of Accountants Conference 2017 in Uganda. Both of these events will attract accountants and institutes from across Africa allowing Tendai to meet with potential new member firms and reconnect with current members.

INPACT continues to welcome new members from across the globe. Extended membership enhances the networking of both existing members and new ones.
