INPACT World Conference goes off with a Bang
30 delegates from 22 members in 14 different countries in Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America and South America were in attendance for the 9th World conference.
The conference was hosted by INPACT Asia Pacific and delegates were welcomed with a traditional dinner to celebrate the region’s 20th anniversary.
As always, the two day conference had a busy schedule of speakers, training, networking and social activities.
Day one consisted of key note speaker, Lim Liat, CEO of BvOtech providing an insightful presentation about volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity and deception (VUCAD) and networking.
This was followed by presentations on emerging trends in technology from Professor Dr. Srisakdi Charmonman and block chain technology from Jaiveer Singh, Innovation Lead of Access SG on day two.
Also on the busy schedule was global tax training delivered by INPACT’s Global Tax Committee Chairman, Mark Moore, and invited guest Somboon Weerawutiwong from PWC, together with members Anush Shanker from Chennai and Yeoh Sheong Lee from Kuala Lumpur. AGMs for regional groups and the Global Board meeting were held across the two days.
The social schedule included tours to the Ladplee floating market, ancient city and Ayutthaya; and the Chao Phraya river cruise and dinner.
The INPACT World Conference is a biennial event for members, hosted in a different region every two years. Its purpose is to provide a forum for knowledge sharing, industry insight and networking.
The 10th world conference will be held in 2018. More information on the location shall be released in next year.
