German Speaking Meeting 2018

With eight INPACT member firms in Germany alone, the German speaking group is a busy and active one and this event provided an excellent opportunity for member firms to share knowledge and build relationships.

On Friday, Rudolf Schmitz of SRS Audit Group welcomed delegates and introduced the conference program. After a brief update about the Global Board and EMEA-CSA Board from Lena and Ralf, Mr. Rüdiger Tüscher did a presentation about Compliance and Fraud. In the afternoon SRS Audit Group explained their digital approach to the audit field. The conference day was closed with internal discussion about INPACT, followed by a wonderful evening event in the new chestnut garden pavilion of the Rheinhotel Dreesen.

Saturday’s proceedings started with a tour of the former government bunker in the Ahr Valley, which opened its atomic bomb-proof gates to the public as a museum in 2008.

Saturday evening allowed for much networking as delegates boarded the MS RheinEnergie, the largest event ship on the Rhein, for an excellent evening cruise and three course meal, culminating in a wonderful fireworks display.
