Finnish INPACT Member Sponsors Major Charity Cycle Event

Every year, cycle teams from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, the Faroe Islands and Iceland complete a gruelling 1200km ride to Paris.

In its inaugural year in 2002, just 10 cyclists, and a volunteer in a minibus, completed the first cycle to Paris, raising €5,100 for Odense University Hospital. The event has grown significantly with each subsequent year and in 2018 over 1800 cyclists, in their distinctive yellow jerseys, set off from 38 different countries to cycle to Paris. They were supported by a team of 450 volunteers and it is anticipated that funds raised will exceed the 2017 record amount of €8.8m!

Commenting on their sponsorship of Team Rynkeby, Aaltonen & Co Ky Partner, Jukka Silvo said:

“Aaltonen & Co are delighted to sponsor this incredibly worthwhile event once again. Our sponsorship helps provide vital equipment such as vehicles, fuel, food and drink for the event. We have been involved with Team Rynkeby from the very start and it is heart-warming to see the way the event has grown. The money raised goes directly to local organisations that help young people facing serious illness, so it is truly a worthy cause.”

Since 2002 Team Rynkeby has raised a staggering €28m and plans for Team Rynkeby 2019 are already underway.
